A house where time slows down needs a website that doesn’t push.

(01) Idea

A small hotel at the end of a valley. The website should show what a stay feels like before you book.

(02) Implementation

Large landscape images, a warm serif for the feelings and a sober grotesque for everything practical. Booking is visible from the start.

(03) Goal

A presence that feels calm and still leads to an enquiry: rooms, bath, kitchen and experiences, each with a clear next step.

The idea

Chasa Arvina is our concept for a small mountain hotel in Val Fex, a car-free side valley in the Engadin: stone, Swiss pine, 24 rooms and plenty of quiet.

The question behind it: how do you sell silence without getting loud? Our answer is a website that above all does one thing, which is leave space.

Chasa Arvina rooms and suites with starting prices in CHF

Rooms you can picture

Each room gets a large image, three facts and a starting price in CHF. That’s all it takes to decide.

The booking bar is already on the homepage: room, arrival, departure, guests. If you’ve fallen in love, you shouldn’t have to search.

The “Warmes Wasser, kalte Gipfel” section about the bath on the roof terrace
The “Was das Tal hergibt” section with the kitchen’s evening menu

Typography with two voices

An italic serif carries the feelings: “langsamer” (slower), “Arvenholz” (Swiss pine), “hergibt” (has to offer). A sober grotesque carries everything you need to know: prices, times, temperatures.

So the page reads like a conversation with hosts who are warm and exact at the same time.

One valley, two seasons

The experiences can be switched between summer and winter: hiking to the glacier or a starlit evening on the roof terrace. Plus a newsletter that comes four times a year, in step with the rhythm of the valley.

The website is set up in three languages: German, English and Romansh.
