Zeit Zone Zürich

Photography for the watch workshop on Kreuzplatz.

On the outside, you see the time.

On the inside, you see where it comes from.

On Kreuzplatz, watchmakers and goldsmiths have worked on timepieces of every brand since 2003. We were there with a camera.

Kreuzplatz 2, 8032 Zürich.

Two chairs, a table and fresh flowers in front of the shop window.

The work happens in the window.

Anyone walking past can watch. The square is reflected in the glass, and behind it, things are being measured.

Each colour, one blade width.

The tools stand within reach, in the light that falls through the window.

Rhabillage is the name for work on old watches.

The workshop has specialists for it.

And these are the people behind it.
