Colombo Lichtatelier – Poster, graphics & photography by allkind
A poster that isn't finished until the light comes on.
It starts with a sketch.
The sketch becomes the poster. The lamp stays where it is.
Then it goes into the shop window. Still dark.
The light finishes the poster.
Light as an experience, not a product. That is how the poster was meant to work.
The idea
The Lichtatelier belongs to Colombo but is about one thing only: light. So the poster shows no product shot, but a sketch, the kind made in the studio.
In the shop window, the light joins in. It falls exactly where the drawn lamp points.
From the first idea through the sketch to the finished poster, all of it comes from us.
First draft
At first, a different lamp took centre stage. This is the first draft, with sketch and flyer.
Then we switched. The idea stayed the same.
The opening
On 19 February the Lichtatelier opened on Sempacherstrasse. Lots of people came, and the evening was a great success.
We took the photos too: the lamps and the shop window.
